What Happens During a Root Canal?

The root canal treatment process typically takes place over the course of two visits. First, Dr. Mistry will access the affected tooth and clean it out, removing the infected pulp that’s often the cause of persistent and painful toothaches. Then, he will restore its structure by filling the inner chamber with an antimicrobial substance called gutta-percha.

Before sending you home, our team will take a digital impression of your tooth to have your permanent crown crafted and secure a temporary one over the top of it. Then, once we have your custom crown, we will call you back in to replace the temporary one.
